Handling after shedding?

How long should one wait to handle a corn snake after it just shed? The reason I am asking this is my corn snake just shed its skin some time last night. It also defecated on the newspaper. I removed him from his terrarium so I could replace the newspaper and change the water in the bowl. I also handled him for a bout 30 minutes then placed him back into his terrarium. Was this okay to due just after shedding or should I have waited a few days?

Thanks

It was fine. It doesn't matter when you hold them after a shed, although during a shed many corns are testy and don't want to be held.

Bmm is wise beyond her years

I own a lot (over 50) of corns and have several sweethearts that will NAIL you when they are blue, or right after (the period when they almost look normal, but are yet to shed). Also, I tested one of these when the shed was roughly half rolled off his body and he chewed on me then, too. So, my advice is wait 5 minutes after a shed before handling!:D
