Hands Across the Sand - June 26 Event

Very cool. I didn't know about this before - I used to live pretty close to St Pete Beach. I might have to get up tomorrow and see if I can make it down there to participate and take photos.

I went out for this today at St Pete Beach. They had a good turnout - easily at least a couple hundred people. I took some photos - not sure how good they will be - but I will try to post them later.

Here are some photos.

I did mine in San Diego and it was pretty cool!

There were 2 protesters and they were protesting us standing in their view of the ocean and their swimming kids (I am not kidding).

We had quite a few people laying on beach chairs in the water just in front of the line, or individuals in the water who just turned around and stared at what we were doing. A lot of the "Hands Across the Sand" people were telling them they should join us if they like the water so much - but in not such nice words....
