Yeah, there's nothing more heartfelt and personal than copying and pasting what everyone already sees on the main page into a post.

a very sincere and thoughtful thread (i guess).............but i think we are starting to get too many threads started. this is really more of a forum to learn/teach on, show some pics and occassionaly throw something "unrealated" into the mix. however, i think i am starting to find more non-sense being posted than i am cornsnake.com material. :shrugs: seems a few different members are "posting-up-a-storm" and i don't think i can wait until the next thread about how you put a trash bag in a can. :sidestep:

Well not to be rude, but i think the more questions i and other members ask and the more posts we make might stop others from spamming, on my first 3 days here i got 100 posts, thats nearly 40 posts a day, the reason is because, if i ask questions i get the answers but other people on the forum who read my questions also get answers, so really the more spam i make, or OFF TOPIC threads the less otherpeople will do it, think longterm man :p

Ya its okay to ask questions, spamming isnt people asking questions though. I think thats what you meant.

You won't stop people from spamming by asking questions but yes others will read your posts and not have to ask the same questions.

yea, i'am just a little sick of people "always like 20 years older" speaking to me like i'am annoying and my threads are worthless, now they might be, but i care about my snake and i need to ask thease questions to keep him alive basically, but little things about the happy birthday was just to make things more cheery, there was another happy b day thread today, i'am sure they never got flamed.

First of all this post didn't have a question. It is what it is, a cope/paste of people birthdays

The other birthday thread (I bet my butter on) was made by Mike, do you know him?. He known to be thoughtful and give wish people happy birthday. But I notice that he usually knows the people that he dose that for.
You join this site on 12/23/06 and already have over 180. That a lot of post. So personally I would think so of them would be worthless. So don't get p- off if some folk get tired of it. I seems like you need to talk to anyone about anything.I'm just asking you to please slow down. And give us a chance to take you seriously. When I first join I was scared to ask question but found out most were already asked by using the archives ( scroll all the way down to the bottom right) But it not only you. It's other's too that need an instance answer. It's the time we live in I guess. But just chill a little and things will be better.
Enjoy your day

Hard to argue with that logic!:D

So if you spam less, then other people will spam more. If you spam more, other people will spam less. How are we any better off with your spam than someone else's?

I have no problem with people asking questions. However, this is not a question thread...it's just spam. I don't mean to be hostile here, but it should do you some good to know that a high post count isn't going to win you any awards or make people like or enjoy your presence. Thoughtful, quality posts and questions rather than just a large quantity of posts is what counts.

Here's to hoping this story doesn't have an ugly ending...:)

Not entirely true, don't know Tammy from"Adam". As she is a regular poster here and turned 40!, I felt her birthday deserved to be recognized!

I'll try to be constructive here. The real reason a thread like this is inappropriate is because I'm guessing that the majority of those people in the birthday list haven't posted in years (I don't recognize most of the names). The system just generates that list based on existing profiles. Most of them probably haven't participated much at all. Individual birthday threads are often started for members who regularly participate here. Those are always welcome.
