Happy or Not?

Pepperoni is my new snake and I want to make sure he is happy. He is hiding up high in a small crevice. Is he happy or not? That is the only real happiness thing I'm worried about. If you have any good advice please comment!Thx!

If you want to know more read "The Snake Noob's Introduction.:bird:

The little ledge right under the screen on a tank? Any snake small enough to fit in there usually spends a lot of time in that space. They will travel along that ledge and at some point start falling, a lot. From the sound you might think the snake would get hurt or at least sort of stunned and not go back, but go back they do. I am not sure if they are happy but they sure seem interested by that little space.

I don't know if snakes really feel happiness. If his needs are being met, like getting fed, having places to hide, and having a choice of temperatures, I think that's as happy as they can be.

I don't know know if I'd describe my snakes as happy per say; I would call them more content. They have enough room to explore; have places to hide away in; and eat, shed, and poop well. To me that's the sign of a well looked after and content corn snake.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I have a DIY Project thread called Jungle Gym Construction. If you have any advice for that please put it in there.

"Content" was just what I would say. Now, they definitely DO get pissy, but I think "content" or "satisfied" is as cheerful as they get.

And yes, all the little guys I have had LOVE that little ledge. Slash took a high dive from the ledge right into his water bowl the other day when I walked by. I gave him an 8.725. His toes weren't pointed.

HAHA! You come up with good jokes! Thanks for the advice too.

What, you think I'm kidding? I have all of mine in strict, serious training for the 2016 Olympics. They aren't best at the javelin throw though, since they have no opposable thumbs and all, and they usually get smooshed when training with free weights. Sigh.

*snicker* Dude, snakes don't even have hands. Of coarse they can't throw a javelin!!!! You would have to use mini wights that weigh like, 5 grams. And unless their is a 2016 Annual Snake Olympics I don't think you can sign them up.*snicker*

Who said anything about using their hands? The triathlon is out because they can't reach the pedals of the bikes.

And we don't discriminate against our scaly Olympians due to their species. There may be lawsuits for that.

Maybe we need to start training for figure skating soon.
