Hatchling not shedding!

So my first ever clutch hatched 2 weeks ago. 8 lovely amel babies. All bar 1 have shed with no problems and have just had their second feed. The problem? is baby H, she came out of the egg on 23rd, with some umbilical still attached. She was 5g and didn't have as much colour as the others so I guessed she was a bit behind the others and just left her alone. She eventually did go into blue but her eyes cleared 5 days ago and still no sign of her shedding. Should I do something or just leave her to it? Should I try to feed her?

Are you sure she hasn't shed and you just haven't found it? Mine will shed between layers of paper towels. You might try soaking her for 20 minutes in shallow water, with a warm rough washcloth. If she has shed, or doesn't shed, then I guess I'd offer food to her.

I'm relatively sure she hasn't shed. I have been checking every other day when I change her water. Perhaps I'll give her a soak tomorrow and see what happens.

Thankyou Nanci! Xx Gave her a 15 soak over a face cloth then put her back in her tub. 10 mins later she shed! Let's hope she eats as well as her siblings!
Ps promise to post new pics of them now they've shed, I have questions on a couple!

I'd call them hatchlings up to about 8 months, after which I call them juveniles until three years, when they're adult. It's an individual thing between keepers and breeders though - different people have different cut-off points for each stage.

Hatchlings shed once every 4-6 weeks. When young, their rate of shedding is directly related to how much they eat and shedding slows down as they grow larger and eat bigger food less often. My adults shed around 3-5 times a year.

thanks bitsy when the breeder gets back I am going to call again and ask him to check on their birth dates you would think they would have record of that batch sold from 3 wks ago right?
