Hatchling with Prolapsed Innards

Keep it moist. On damp paper towel and maybe some antibiotic ointment on it to help keep it protected. I just left my little guy alone and now he's almost completely healed - just a little scab where it was and nothing hanging out or even a bump. Good luck - I can't find any rhyme or reason to them getting better or not at the moment.

Well, I've he's got 13 healthy brothers and sisters and my second batch is half ways hatched right now, all looking very healthy. Should I just give this one some time or should I stuff it's prolapse in side it and put a band-aid around it or take scissors and cut it off? It looks like it's drying up and breaking off or something. It's sad. Maybe I should just give it a quick and painless death.
I'd leave it alone. I don't think it's a prolapse. It looks to be the remains of the umbilicus, and it will most likely dry up on its own. If it bothers you that much, snip it off a millimeter away from the scales and put a bit of neosporin on it.

well, talking to some folks at my local reptile society I've been advised that it's probably just umbilical cord and will fall off. So I'll go ahead and try and feed it soon here and see how it goes.
