Haunted House with waiver (maybe nsfw)

Why would anyone do that to themselves? And I have to wonder what kind of people work there? I'm traumatized just watching that... and it says 2-3 hours, but if you look at the 2014 survivors video, it says 4-7 hours! I don't know, maybe I'm just a wuss, but it doesn't look like fun to me.

Would YOU?

I am so all for haunted houses and I love the interactive ones, but once you start binding and trapping me and I have no say, that's where I draw the line. You have no idea what kind of people are inside and yes, they may be wonderful people, I mean heck the admission is a donation to a rescue, but it only takes one freaky person and if you have no say there isn't anything you can do about it. I would never willingly, knowingly put myself in a situation where anything like that could happen. If it was one where they could touch you but you could leave when you wanted and no way they could bind you then sure, I'd be all for it. But I'd always want to go in a group of three people at least also.

What the heck did I just watch? I couldn't even watch it all. It looks disgusting, not scary. Just wait til something gets out of hand and lawsuits are made.

Yep, I'm gonna say NO. Just the thought of someone's dirty hands shoving something in my mouth is a NO. Being jumped out at is one thing, grabbing me and duct taping my face or hands is a NO. Pushing my face onto a filthy floor or into a bucket of something is a NO.

And the "no quitting" part in the waiver? I can't see that holding up in court if someone gets seriously injured (which is entirely possible) after saying they want to quit.

Some people LOVE haunted houses, most are just boring, I think they are a waste of time and money. I have better things to do with $20.

I agree, a lot look disgusting, and almost sexual. Theres another that will strip you of your clothes and wrap you in saran wrap and stuff.
Without the bdsm-looking things I would probably consider it haha. I am always in for a thrill. I could deal with the eating rotten eggs, and jumped out, or being hauled over someone shoulder with a bag over my head and put into a van. I know in this one they put your head in a bucket full of snakes, which wouldn't bother me.

But if they have snakes, they'll have spiders.

And there's my real problem.

I would RATHER deal with the super creepy and gross stuff that shouldn't constitute as a horror house, but more a porno, than have to deal with spiders.

Guess I'm weird that way.

I bet they did not check the laws. I don't know where this is located, but here in ny they would have been shut down. You can have an interactive haunted house as long as there is no grabbing or touching of any kind. You can use any special effects or jumping out to scare but nothing physical. Due to some people getting hurt in a haunted house a few years ago, they have become very strict, at least 3 were closed down last year because they did not meet the parameters of the new laws. The only way this one would slip through, is if it was just a word of mouth or a privite party, but it is still disgusting.

One of my buddies worked in haunted houses before. They always state that they're "no quitting" as advertising hype, but the waiver you sign will have a safe word you can use to leave whenever you want.

Not my idea of fun though.
