I got this guy a little over a month ago and he hadn't eaten for about 2 weeks when I got him. He hadn't eaten for me either so I was force feeding him. That wasn't easy since he is about 7 feet long and very strong LOL.

Well, the previous owner housed him in a 75 gallon tank which was divided into about 50 gallons and 25 gallons, so he only had about 50 gallons to work with. For the last month, I housed him in the same till I could build his new enclosure. He moved in last night and loves it.

I came home today and decided to see if he would eat on his own although he hadn't shown much interest since I had him. I tossed in a hamster that was the ugly duckling from my last litter. He slowly got interested in it and then gobbled it down and came to the glass with the "please, can I have some more" look lol.

Sorry I didn't get any eating pics. I didn't want to disturb him in any way and waited till he decided to take a bath. I don't think he has ever been able to choose when he got to soak. At least not since he was a little guy.

I hope you guys like the couple of pics and I appologize for the long post. I am just so excited about him eating. :dancer:

Good deal, Craig. Is that the guy you took to the vet for the weird lump? He looks like he's loving his bath.

Nanci

Yea, this is the same guy. He is going back for another checkup in about a week when I take the ball python back in for her checkup over her eye infection. It looks like the lump may be coming back but then again, it may just be me. If it is coming back, the vet is going to cut the cyst or whatever it is out this time. Either way, this guy has him a nice big place to come home to now. He is so sweet and it's great to see him showing big signs of improvement. :)

Thanks for the post,
John LOL

Craig, are you going to Repticon Saturday? I need to buy some hides. I might go.

LOL, my name is John. You got the snake right, but I think you are mixing me up with someone else. :p

You are so right! And I always do, but usually I catch myself. I'm thinking of cflguy. Doh!! Yeah, it would be a bit of a drive for you.

You're sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky your snake lets you look at him while he's taking a bath. Mine just jumps out right when I open the door.

LOL, that's funny. I have seen his posts in threads and thought "Hey, I don't remember posting that" and then realized it wasn't me. :crazy02:

What does the "sfa" in your name stand for? Maybe if I knew, I would be less likely to confuse you two.

WHAT An Amazing Snake!! He is just chilling in the bathtub!! love it, ummm, it would make things alot easyer with damiens pooing if he had a kind of bathtub, can you give them to corns?

George, you can certainly give Damien a water crock big enough for him to get into. Make sure it is heavy enough that he can't tip it over.

The "sfa" stands for Stephen F Austin State University, where I am a student right now. :)
