HE FINALLY ATE!

Dexter's

Dexter
I'm so happy my little month and a half albino corn snake, Dexter, ate!
I got him about 2 weeks ago and wasted almost 8 pinkies trying to feed him, i left him alone for a few days and today i tried again and he finally ate!
I was just so excited that i had to post it here!
Anyways, pics will come soon, when I can find someone with a good camara.

I just wanted to share with you that information.
Oh, and I tried giving him another one, but he turned it down.

Well its good to hear that your corn ate, but he probably was full after that first pinkie if he turned it down.
Just don't overfeed it or it will regurgitate.

Well GL with your snake! :D

Congrats on getting him to feed! Just a word of advice, if in the future, he turns down a meal. Wait till the next scheduled feeding day to try again. I mean, if you normally feed on Sunday and Dexter refuses, don't try to feed again, till next Sunday. Constantly bugging and trying to feed, isn't doing anything but stressing him out.

Also, don't try to feed him too much or he could regurge (throw up). That's a whole new can of worms you don't want to open, if you can avoid it.

Since Dexter is only a month and a half old, he probably only needs one appropriately sized mouse, every five to seven days.

Good Luck

Wayne

Congrats... I always get nervous when my little ones don't eat. It takes everything in me not to try to feed them every other day. Goodluck and listen to the good advice given by the above people. :)
