Sweetness shed on the 10th and it was perfect! What a relief! He has been very active the last two nights and his color is beautiful!

Umm I think I have a problem with my snake...or maybe not...I dont really know
He started shedding a few days ago but he still has some stuff left on the sides of his body, how long does shedding ususally take? what should I do if the skin doesnt come off?

If it's one of those "perfect" sheds it comes off in one piece in a short period of time 10-15 minutes usually I walk away and when I come back it's all finished.
If it's a less than perfect shed you might want to help out. a quick and easy way is to soak the snake in tepid water (not cold, not hot) usually it doesn't take more than 20 min or so then have the snake move through a towel this should get the rest of the skin off. you want to make sure the eye caps have come off and the skin at the tip of the tail. Make sure the snake can not drown- I usually hold it's head above water.
If the shed is really stuck, you might have to make a container (rubbermaid) with ventilation and fill it with very damp paper towels put the snake in, take the snake out when skin comes off sometimes as long as a day or two. make sure you keep the container warm.
Well I hope this helps you- good luck :)
