You know how the story has it that if the rope breaks at a hangin' then the accused is set free?

Well, it seems Butter went through a shed cycle without telling anyone (we didn't see the first bit of cloudiness in his eyes but at the same time, we were 'distracted' shall I say by me spending several days in the hospital earlier this month). So when he refused to go after a live mouse (Edna still doesn't have frozen adults in stock) two times running, we figured the mouse in question deserved a pardon. so now "Squeaky" resides up in my son's room. I'll get a picture up in the next couple days, hopefully. Little guy has the longest tail for a little mouse, and he barks at people.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

PS - I'm doing fine. Had an infection that got out of hand and requred surgery, but THAT caused a day and a half of atrial fibrillation. Too much attention, I tell you, but on the other hand, they gave me groovy drugs for the pain.

Always excellent! ;) I'm glad that you're doing better...!

Thanks. Yeah... My poor wife. They come in and explain that if it didn't pop back into normal rhythm (they wouldn't believe me when I told them I have no rhythem to start with), that they would do some procedure where they put me under general anesthesia and give me a good zap to try to kick it in. I'm saying "cool" while my wife is barely containing a huge freakout.

Oh, I'm sure! That reminds me of my own anecdote:

A friend's father recently got a "new toy" for his heart, and he wanted to try it on me, so I said, "sure." He hooked me up, I sat still & let the machine do its business, and then it went "ding!" My friend's father, who'd had heart surgery & whatnot, looked in disbelief at the machine...per it, I was dead. :p He told me to not sit so completely still, to breathe (which I was doing!)...the second time around it came back with results that he liked better.

I hope that your heart gets the right idea & kicks itself into gear on its own! *fingers crossed*

:-offtopic Sorry to hi-jack your thread as the underlying post is quite serious really,
GET WELL SOON...

And the mouse...Future dinner... ;)

Back:-offtopic Your story reminds me of my mate Mark......
... About 25 yrs ago a mate of mine was taken into hospital, he was suffering from a mysterious ailment...... After a day or so and a quick scan over he was visited by a locum....He told him that it was AIDS...He went into melt down...He wasn't gay and never had been. He had never been an intravenous drug user.....He had never been unfaithful to his wife, and yet he had to explain to her and the in-laws, parents etc. What was happening.....................Two days later he was told it wasn't AIDS but cancer (leukaemia)... His reply....'Whew, only cancer...Nice one'....
Happy note......... He went through Chemo and is still around today...... And bingo... He had real bad acne before, but the chemo sorted that out.:cheers:RESULT!!!!!......
Cheers Mark, I've dined out on that story a few times....LOL

second hijack:

I had a heart op in 2000 that left me with three heartbeats instead of the normal two. Now I can't use the heart monitors at the gym...
