I have a one year old normal corn. I purchased another one a week ago, they are in searate vivs but are in the same room. the corn i have had for a year has started to get real strange like something is wrong. Is it possible he is scared or thretened by the other snake? :shrugs: :shrugs:

sorry I posted this thread while logged on at my sisters house. to further explain, I think the corn is a male. I havent had it probed and the person i purchased it from did not have it labeled. the other two snakes in the room with it i just recently purchased The new corn is a male (and my other new snake is not a corn so i wont talk about him). The corn I have had for a year has started to get real cranky since i purchased the others and put them in the same room. When I get him out of the cage he gets in the strike position and tries to get back in the hide box or under the bedding really quick. It has never acted like this before. it used to let us get it out and basicly do whatever we wanted. does anyone have any sugestions?

Yeah I'd suggest moving it into another room! You don't even have to house snakes together in one viv, if they're in the same room and not happy about it you'll soon find out! Try moving them apart for a couple of days at first, and see if his behaviour improves.

Is the other snake a king snake?

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but maybe since some king snakes eat other snake your corn smells him and is afraid? :shrugs:
