Healthy Weight?

Hey,

My corn, which I got as a "2 month" hatchling from Petsmart in early august is now 55g and eating mice hoppers. So, in 6 months, hes gained 40 some odd grams. Is 55g at around 7-8 months a healthy weight?

Edit: Make that a large fuzzies/small hoppers. My supplier's hoppers look like rodent pro's fuzzies so go figure on that one.

All snakes grow at a different rate. As long as your snake doesn't feel squishy or have hips near it's vent, I'm sure its fine. A Snakes body should be in the shape of a loaf of bread, flat on the bottom and there should be two little mounds that are next to the spine. If your snake is round, or has hips its over weight. It its in the shape of a triangle, its under weight. I don't think I've ever heard of a snake being over weight at 2 months old? But I'm sure its possible. Is there anyway you can post pictures so we can see what your snakie looks like??

I would post pics but my iphone has a horrible camera. I feed 1 fuzzy/hopper every 7 days.

Well try and see if you can get a good shot? lol

That sounds fine to me. If your snake is steadily putting on weight, then I'm sure everything is going great!!! :)
