Heat from above ?

They are actually listed a diurnal and have the pupils to prove it. They are active during the evenings and night times too, so I'm not quite sure if anyone bothered to tell them~
 
note.. i didnt read all replies..

but just on a kind of side note.. in the winters here it gets really cold. the UTH does its job for the warm side but it is very hard to keep the ambient air temps up.. so i use a 60 watt Ceramic Heat Emiter and place it over the middle of the viv and it keeps the Ambient air temps perfect :) this is the only time id reccomend using any "above" heat source..

The point I was trying to make was that corns don't have the dire need for a specific light spectrum that some other reptiles do.
 
You are correct there! Most snakes do not require specific UVA/B lighting requirements that lizards and turtles do.
