Heat Mat Recommendation?

If you only had 6 snakes, would you buy individual heat mats for each or would you make one with the heat flex? (they have heat now) I'm just trying to look at more uniform housing for them and trying to decide if I should build a rack type set up; or just use individual sterilite containers, and trying to figure out about the heat mats.

I would say go for the Flexwatt heat tape. For 6 snakes, it would be more expensive to use heat mats for every single one.

Would you rather build a rack or multiple cages of which you can easily see inside? Below is a pic of a four-viv high enclosure that I built (will fit four adult corn snakes for their entire life) that was only $190. For heating, I used Flexwatt heat tape purchased from The Bean Farm (very good prices!).
