2 Just Isnt Enough
ok so it is very hard for me to keep a stable temp. in my snake tank...my room gets really cold, i have a heat lamp on it now but it drops down below the recommended temp...so ill turn on my space heater and with in a few min. it gets to high for recommended temp. then once its off the temp drops very quickly...

is there anything i can do to stablize the temp better?

is such a dramatic change in temp decrease/increase bad?

(i live with my mom and i cant move it to a different room, so you know)

Ditch the heat lamp and get a UTH. Also, what make/model of thermostat are you using?

I totally agree! My house gets down to the low 60's high 50's at night & the vivs are by windows. but I keep a UTH on one side of the viv w/ a hide next to it & leave it on all day in the winter mths. So the temp changes on the other side of their viv to what ever the house is. My corns are very happy & healthy. So If I were you I would purchase a UTH & leave the other side of the viv at room temp. HTHs :)
