Heating question

Im about to move my corn into a 36x15x15inch wooden tank but need some advice on what heating to use. I currently use an 11x11inch heat mat under his small tank but will this provide enough heat for the bigger tank? Shall i get a lamp aswell as the mat or just use a lamp? Any recommendations for good lamps? Sorry bout all the questions, any help will be much appreciated.

It all depends on how much heat can get through the wood. 11x11 is a good size pad. If it can keep heats around the low to mid 80's in one side of the enclosure than you are fine. I would think what you have is enough- i guess it all depends where you live as well. If your house stays pretty warm in the winter you dont need a whole lot of extra heating to keep temps right.
 
I would do a temporary set and check the temps with the one you have to see what you have. then go from there.
 
Nice one, thanks for the advice. I currently live in wet and cold Cardiff in Wales and my room gets pretty cold in winter so ill do the test setup before i move my corn in. Thanks again for your help! :)
