Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I'm pretty new to snakes in general. I just recently got my girl Scarlett and am completely in love. She is about six months old and has been pretty great so far. I also live with a Taiwan Beauty (she belongs to my boyfriend), and she is also fairly docile. (She has become slightly tank aggressive, but is otherwise content laying on our shoulders or relaxing in the grass when the weather is warm. I'm excited to meet other snake people and learn more about them.

Thanks Rich! Some of them may be a bit blurry, but they she is always doing something super cute so I try to quick catch it on camera  I have absolutely no idea as to what you would call her other than a corn snake...any ideas? I'd love to learn how to determine all the different colorations by sight.

ZoologyGirl, I'm in lower Michigan, thank goodness. I don't mind the fall/winter, but being snowed in is not my idea of a great way to spend the snowy months ;)

She looks to be hypomelanistic to me. :)

Welcome, and NICE DOG! (I checked out the vid). Big bitework fan here - for now I just play tug with my pet dog, though.

Thank you very much for the complement! Kriger loves getting to bite the "bad guys"! What kind of dog do you have? and how old?

Is she just called a hypomelanistic? Thanks so much for identifying her. We were pretty sure that's what she was, but didn't know if she had another name.

I've got a little spaniel x golden who's four. She's a got pretty decent prey drive and will light up and play a mean game of tug. She's a really fun little dog and I do a lot of puppy/drive building exercises with her. We also do AKC Ob at a local club and will be doing some therapy work this summer - she's super social and confident.

Do you do any specific sport with Kiger?

He also does UKC SDA Dog sport (its another protection dog sport), he does narcotics detection also> Therapy work is fun, Ruger my GSD passed his CGC/TDI, but Kriger only got his CGC... the TDI part.. well wasnt pretty. The hugging the dog by a stranger... he showed that he didnt approve. So we failed. LOL.
