Hello from Edmonton

Hello my name is Meg, and I live in Edmonton AB Canada. I have a normal and a candycane cornsnake. My normal Sullivan was my first snake that I got two years ago and three months ago I got Eon my candycane. Sullivan escaped last year and was MIA for a whole year. I thought he had died but a couple months ago he reappeared in my laundry room and gave me a heart attack. I suppose he survived because I live in a older house and there are mice in the walls sometimes. My cats get any that come out of the walls so they are not much of a problem, but I hear them every once in a while. My nephew didn`t lock his cage so he got out, and slipped into the walls in my furnace room. Anyway I love my snakes, I also have a Ball Python named Murphy. They fascinate me!! So hello to all!!!

Hello, Meg.
Good news on Sullivan! I've seen people post on here that they lost their snake, now I know they can always hope to find them for quite a while.
Did you notice any change in his size when you found him? I wonder how much he ate when he was gone. What were his eating habits when he got back?
I just thought of something else, you have snake sheds in your walls!

Welcome to the forums you will find all the help you need with questions from these fine people on this forum:spinner:

Welcome to the forum Meg!

Glad you found Sullivan! Hopefully you can post pics in the photo gallery so we can see how well a wandering snake can look, after he returns...lol

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Best wishes,

Thanks to all!! Sulli has doubled in size since his escape and is now around 3' long. He should be bigger given that he is over 2yrs old and my Eon my candycane is around the same age and is more like 4.5' long. Sulli eats better than ever since his capture although he is also extremly nippy and aggressive now. I have been bite so many times since he's been back!!!
