I posted in your other thread, but I thought I'd post here too. Your english is very nice actually. Please don't be afraid to post because it's very read-able. I do have a question for you. Could you show us some pictures of your horses and of your city? I'm very interested in seeing pictures. We love pictures here!

Of course I can show You some pictures of my horses.
Here they are! :)
This is Pacco, my argentine Criollo gelding. He is 14 years old and he was imported from argentina in 2005. It´s the gray one.

This is our castle

This is a view over Giessen:

We have many students here and I´m one of them ;)

Wow. Thanks for sharing all! Have you had your horses a long time? They look great. I'm definitely putting your city on my list when I visit Europe. Your city seems like it is like a city near me called Golden. Almost everyone you see is a student because of the School of Mines. They study earth sciences there.

What is the name of the botanical garden? That would be the first place I see.

Don't mention it! Giessen is not a greattown, but it´s nice to live here as a student. Everything is just "10 minutes away" by food. ;)
The second Worldwar destroyed lots of buildings and houses so we have lots of ugly constructions here in Giessen like the "Elefanten-klo" (elephant-toilet). It´s a bridge for pedestrian with 3 big holes in the middle...
But we also have some very old buildings.

The botanical garden has no other name. It´s only calles the "botanical garden" ;)

Wie Gehts

Wie gehts und Wilkommen bist Kornatterreich,
When I was stationed in Germany in the years of 1988 - 1990 I lived in Babenhausen, Germany near Dieburg and Aschaufenburg. I have a baby albino cornsnake, there is a picture in the thread called i am such a happy camper. And your english is good, understandable. I would love to practice meine Deutsch my Sie.

If you want an ugly city, you should see Commerce City, Colorado. It's mostly run down and warehouses.

Hy montanatburg.
Dieburg is just ~60miles away from Giessen. If you want to practice your Deutsch, dann kannst du mir gern auf Deutsch schreiben...:)
1988-90 I still was a little girl... :D

@pridecity:
I´ve never left europe. But in october this year my fiancé invited me to New York and long island. I´m soooooo excited!!! :D

Never been to New York myself. I'm in the middle of the country but a little more west. Be prepared for a lot of people and a lot of angry drivers!

Hallo! My last name is actually Giesen, and I am always told by people that I should visit Giessen, Germany. Thank you for the pictures! Welcome to the forum.

Your english is great. It is better then most peolpes. My last name is German. It is Whistler or in my case Whisler. Long story stort My great great parents came here. When they got here the T in Whisler was removed for some reason. The only person that knew about why passed away befor I could talk to him about it. But I know that my Uncles Is the painter Jame Whistler from Germany. O I have always wanted to go there Too.

Oh, yes, Whis(t)ler means "Pfeifer" oder "Pfeiffer" in german.
It reminds me to an old funny movie. It´s calles "Die Feuerzangenbowle" with Heinz Rühmann as headliner. In this movie his name was "Hans Pfeiffer"--> Jack Whisler :)
It´s a realy old black/white movie about a man who never went to a norman school always had privat education and never now what children do at school. stuff like puttin a pushpin on the teachers chair or a wet sponge, doing al the funny things teenager do at schoolin the 1940s. So he descided to go back to school as a pupil and live his life again as a teenie.
It´s full of cliché about teachers an pupils and sooo funny!
But, there is no english version of this film...
