Hey all, my name is Ryan and I reside in northern Virginia. I'm entirely new to this whole snake thing and trying to learn genetics just gives me a headache but I think I'm getting there.

About a week ago I decided I'm going to "man-up" to my obsessive fear of snakes and finally get one. The obsession is for always wanting one and the fear is, well that's pretty self explanatory. I decided on corns since there are so many color morphs, there size is manageable at adult size, and from one i've read seem docile. I've been breeding freshwater and marine aquarium fish for about two years and find it very rewarding so I'm looking for new projects to keep myself busy. I've decided to break down one of my 20g long aquariums and sterilize it to convert it into my corns new home. I haven't gotten the corn yet but in a week I will be ordering an '11 abbott okeetee. Not sure of the genetics yet but i'm pretty excited! If all goes well, I might try to set up a rack and get 2 more mature corns to try my hand at breeding next season once I can wrap my head around genetics.

Looking forward to seeing yall around the forums!
