when i woke up this morning my cornsnake terrarum glass was covered in slimy green yellow smudge and my corn snake was violently rubbing his nose and head on the glass. i noticed that he laways rubs his head on glass but this time i dont know what the hell happened.

i already took my ball python to the vet; i dont know if i can afford to take my other snake too. is it possible to get sick from each other if they are in the same room but a bit far away?

oh yeah and there is a pile of clear greyish liquid on the aspen shavings and he keeps lifting his tail a lot. also ihes really really active and its just the mormning

he is two years old

Ewwwwww!!!! That almost looks like waste material (poop) he has spread all over the glass. Can you tell if it came from his face or his vent?

With him being a male there is also a chance if could be reproductive material.

Do you feed him in his tank, or in a separate box?

Also the sick BP what was it sick with?

i cant tell where it came from but it does smell a little bad, but not that bad. i feed him in his tank, i usually put the mouse on a rock so it can avoid eating aspen.

my BP was sick with upper respitory infection.

and yes he is a male. do they usually do that with their reproductive material?

and my tank was not looking like this yesterday it all looked like this only just when i woke up.

If possible this is what I would do.

Take all the aspen out of the tank and lay down paper towels or news papers as bottom. Feed him normally and watch for the next sign of poop. The paper towel will let you monitor his bathroom habits more than aspen, so you can see what the poo looks like. Just to make sure it looks normal. Double check your temps since he is more active and make sure you don't have a hot spot going on.

If it smells there is a good chance it's poop, just the runnier white bits.

I have also had a male get "friendly" with his water bowl. It was messy.

so they can get friendly with water bowl? you mean pretend mate with it and mess everywhere? because i noticed hes hanging around the pop bottle hide a lot and playing with it

I've never had a snake "musk" before, but could it be that? I heard it was yellowy? Maybe he musked and got it on him and is now trying to get it off.. I am just guessing. I think the advice of cleaning out the cage and putting in paper towels is a really good idea. That you can really clearly see anything that comes out!

i dont know why he would musk though i didnt even handle him or anything. he pooped normally yesterday though, so i think hes going fine. the types of stuff that comes out is either brown poo or white (llooks like bird poo). the stuff that came out today was transulcent/grey/yellowish.
