I would read "Corn Snakes The Comprehensive Owners Guide" by Kathy and Bill Love. As well as "Corn Snakes in Captivity" by Don Soderberg. Those will cover the basics. Pretty much everything else you need to know can be found searching the forum, or asking questions.

first advice is if you dont know right now, wait. learn first. its worth it in the long run. for both you and the snake. its good to get prepared with the set up and making sure you can get temperatures right and all.
second is to read kathy loves book on corn snakes. very good read, and youll learn a lot.
if your getting a baby you need to make sure the cage is very secure. corns are escape artists and babies are just the same and its easier since theyre so small.
youll want to get a hot spot of mid to low 80s. i keep mine at 87 for example. but it also is in a cooler basement so i keep them warmer there to keep up temps everywhere. they have the rest of the cage to decide where they want to be.
you can heat with bulbs, some do, most of us will recommend under tank heaters hooked up to a rheostat or thermostat. and a digital thermometer with a probe will be needed to get accurate temperatures. it can be one from lowes or home depot even. i use these cause they do hot(probed), cold side(ambient), and humidity. and they cost just as much as one meant for herps or if not cheaper.
aspen bedding is the preferred by everyone here. its cheap, easy to clean, and easily available.
feeding can be easy if you can get a scale to weigh you snakes in grams. you can use the munson plan to figure out prey size using this with the snakes weight.
