Okay here's the thing...I've had my corn Paco for over a year now and i'd say he's a bout 22 inches long and today I tried feeding him 2 frozen thawed fuzzies and he is refusing to eat them! I brained one of then and I cut the other one's abdomen open and he's still not going for them? What do I do?

Throw out the thawed fuzzies and try again next feeding day. Maybe try a little larger if he can take it. A year old should be past fuzzies, unless they are pretty big fuzzies.

Usually when a good eater refuses it's due to an impending shed.

Thank you

Thanks.....Can I buy frozen hoppers? He did eat one of the fuzzies last night though!

As long as the prey item is less than 1.5 times the size of the snake's widest point, it should be okay. Just give him one

Do the fuzzies still leave a visible lump?
The best way to do it is to get a good digital gram scale and weigh both the snake and the food items every feeding day. Then you can go by something like the "Munson Plan", which can be found all over this forum with a search.

Another thing to check when a snake refuses to eat is to make sure the temperatures are correct, plenty of clean water, etc. 75 degree or so cool side and 80-85 warm side, measured with a good digital thermometer with a probe, the probe stuck to the warmest spot to get the hot side. (on the glass where the UTH is stuck if you are using a UTH)

Yeah they are still visible after he eats them. Im gonna try again to feed him in a few days he ate the one fuzzie but i had to brain it which was so hard for me 2 do! Oh and another thing I noticed the a/c vent was pointing directly to his tank my dad moved the vent without knowing so his temps are back where they should be.

i think?

well alot of times snakes wont eat when thier habitat doesnt feel right or thier too cold but if its really sudden and you havnt chaged its probably cause of a shed check for cloudyness of its skin and eys if they are then you should probobly get the tank moist

So you're asking basic care questions in one thread and giving advice in another? I know it's fun to participate, but why don't you hold off on the advice until you've had snakes for a while...
