i just got a ball python last night. i know this isnt cornsnake related but i dont know who to ask.

this morning i noticed his nose looks red almost bloody, what could be wrong?

A picture of it woudl help, but maybe he tried to find a way out and pushed his nose against the sides and corners which irritated his nose.

his heat sensors look red/pinky and the tip of its nose is sorta red. this early morning they looked a lot redder than that.

hmm i think this way be the way they look like but i swore yesterday they werent this colour... this is my first ball and im not used to him! the woman i got him from said he was previously bred and he hasnt eaten for months because of this, also i just found out he was fed live rats which i cannot do so i hope i can feed him frozen when he is ready to eat

this is a picture of a ball python i just found and mine looks like this right now i thought it the red was abnormal!

I feel like a goof! i actually made a vet appointment saturday but i guess i wont need it now?

He looks great to me. BPs have those pits that run along the front of their snout and the color you are seeing is the inside of the pit. Kinda like looking up someones nose I guess. Congrats on the new snake and best of luck getting him to switch to f/t. I couldnt feed live rats either.

i would feed him live because hes used to it but i wouldnt want to keep live rats in my apartment, too much extra work..also i cant really afford if he gets injured.
