my bearded dragon is about 10 inches long
 
Put out a couple of water dishes on the floor so he has something to drink while free. What sometimes works for lizards is to take their lights and set up a basking area out on the floor. Just keep checking it periodically and he should eventually start using it. Follow Leerankin's advice too. You lizard will want to be somewhere warm.

Also, check your laundry and garbage thoroughly before washing it or throwing it out.

i have but i havent seen him any where these sucks
