The Eye Fell out ?

You shoul avoid (or never ) give a live mouse to a snake, frosen is the better way. how Big was the snake? And how big was the mouse?

First of all, do not spam the forums (you posted this same post 3 atleast 3 times). One post is enough, and if people have the capability of helping you, they will.

Secondly, do not feed live animals to your snake, it's one of the leading causes of "accidents" for snake keepers. There are other more safer ways to coax an unwilling snake to eat, a live animal should only be used as a last resort, and the animal should be at a stage of development that would prove to be harmless to the snake (a pinkie or fuzzy).

Now, you need to get that snake to a vet ASAP. Just because there is no blood or the snake seems fine, it's no reason to think it's okay. The eye is one of the organs that does not contain alot of blood at its core (mostly clear fluid). If you don't give your snake the medical attention it needs right now, that eye can become infected and it could spread into its brain and by then you'd either have a dead snake, or one that needs to be put down.

13MUR6....

Maybe he was just worried about his snake, and was posting in a couple area because he wanted a quick reply, or maybe the other posts just were not getting replies. Why don't you leave it to RICH_Z to decide what is spam. It is his website after all. All you are doing is discouraging someone who could honestly use advice from coming back to this site where he will feel like he is being lectured. Do not make him feel afraid to post something. Or next time when he has another problem, he will be to afraid to ask for help. I have noticed you feel like you are some sort of Post Monitor on a couple other threads, but I say mind your own Buisness. -Don

IMHO I think that you are wrong, one post is enough, like said 13mur 6. I know that he is desperate, but one post in the right place is what he needs.

CAcornguy, my aplogies for making you feel that way. However, a spam is a spam. Also, spams discourage willing members to help, since it shows immaturity/impatience in the poster who spams, this in turn fuels the spammers impatience even more, leading to more spams. This eventually leads to chaos if not rectified, or if caught, results in the spammer having his account banned. No one wants to see the same post over and over again under different title names, especially if their intent was to help that person, and no one wants to have an angry spammer come back under a different account name.

As a member of this forum, I feel it is an obligation to tell/remind other members if they are doing something wrong (assuming that they don't know that it is a wrong thing to do, since so few people actually read the member agreements when they register, or sometimes people just plain forget). If you saw someone in your community commit a wrong, would you sit idly and not do anything about it? Wouldn't you agree that you should atleast tell that person what he/she is doing is wrong, in the event that perhaps he/she didn't know? (sure there are some inconsiderate people out there that would ridicule you for it, but those are the types of people that need reprimanding).

Also, I could've been mean and simply reported the post and gotten the kid banned for spamming, but I don't like playing tattletail.

I agree. He doesn't need to post this question more than twice (which he did, twice in ONE forum even)

And I also agree, this snake MUST GO TO A VET!

I would hope by his lack of response so far (thread starter) that he did indeed take it for vet attention.

Well, Not meaning to get technical...

But you have posted the same SPAM warning numerous times, so wouldn't that make you a SPAMMER too? I mean he is bound to have read one of your posts regarding SPAM in another thread, so why keep telling people. I am not trying to be rude...I am just trying to look at it from both sides. Take Care. -Don

Does it even matter guys?

He hasn't come back and maybe he will, but either way it seems to be done now.

good point!!

Wow...thanks for the wake up call BMM....What do I really care. Why do I always let my bad moods shine through on this board. I need to get a new outlet. LOL...sorry everyone. I am really not a bitchy person. LOL....I am a happy guy with 3 new baby snakes. My first ones ever. @ anerys and a normal. Forgive me for Bantering. -Don

CAcornguy, could you refer me to the last time I mentioned a spam? I know I have a big mouth, but I don't quite remember the last time I got into a spam debate.

Also, take note, I did answer his plea for help.

Well....not right now

Sorry...I do not really want to contiue this any further. As you should have understood from my previous post. What is the point. I might if I had the time, but I am leaving work, and after 12 hour shifts, I am ready for some sleep. Take care. I am sure you can remember your own post though. It was only a week or 2 ago. -Don

I'm sorry, but I don't remember posting anything about spams before this post. I did a search on my own posts and not one of them mentions anything about spamming excluding this post. Therefore it is in my inclination to feel falsely accused.

Perhaps it was someone else and not me. But anyway, I'm right and your wrong, nya nya nya, nah, just kidding :) Lets just hope the kid's snake survives with his eye bite.
