So anyway today we are finishing the herp room. The snakes will go down after the carpets are cleaned. It has lighting setups to keep the racks nice and warm, plus there is even a nice tall shelf I can put eggs on next year. Keeos it 80-83 up on top of there year round!
 
Nice! Make sure you allow plenty of time for those carpets to dry, before putting the snakeys in. I remember Kathy L. talking about a customer of hers, that lost her entire collection, shortly after cleaning her carpets. It's a strong possibility that the chemicals used to clean the carpets are toxic to snakes. Use caution my friend!

man i would hate to have carpets in a herp room. so much vaccuming to be done. i have concrete now, but i think im gonna put lienoleum down so its easier to mop. so howd all the finishing go anyways? i just primed my parents kitchen and breakfest nook thing today. and now am installing a new ceiling light as we speak. just having a break before i wire it up.

post some photos, i love looking at peoples herp rooms. gives me some ideas usually.
 
Congrats and good luck on the herp room, David. I hope to one day have one specific room set aside and designated as such.
