herp show

I was thinking about it but I probably won't since I've got a good supply of mice left. Also I'll probably be tempted to buy another corn and my mom would probably kick me out of the house if I did that...so no. :) I'm sure other people are going though

Yea that wouldnt be good then would it....I never been to a herp show. Are they worth it. Is the one in white plains nice????

If you like reptiles of any kind

A herp show is for you! Trust me....they are almost all worth it! A chance to see tons of reptiles and snakes, and prices far cheaper than pet stores, also a huge vareity to choose from!

If you have the chance go! :)

Well I've only been to two of these, but it seems like a decent sized show. There's a BIG variety of herps though, you'll find things from tarantulas to 20 foot Burmese pythons to baby bearded dragons...etc etc etc.
There's not a huge selection on corns though. The commonly available morphs are normals, amels (including candy canes and sunglows), and anerys, some ghosts, some stripes and motleys. I've never seen anything interesting like a butter or a lav (of course not...darn it!) and everything good gets bought pretty quickly so you have to get there early. There's usually a line to get in if you're there to get in early, but it's worth it to some people to get that jump on the latecomers.
Don't expect to see a whole lot of baby corns in Jan though, since most of them are available in late summer/fall. You might see some nice juveniles/yearlings and adults though.
all this talking about it REALLY makes me want to go....

Herp show

Thanks a lot every one I am definately going and I will be there early. I probably buy another corn, and if they have any colombian red tail boas... You should think about going Iris.
Thanks again
Brian

I'll be going to the NY Reptile Expo in White Plains this coming Saturday. (Id also go Sunday but alas I have a dentist appointment. :()

The show in White Plains is a good show depending on season and whether or not the show is being held downstairs or upstairs in the auditorium/basketball court.

This upcoming show probably wont have many in the way of corns except for a few yearlings & very few adults. And the show is downstairs this week which is a shame because it gets SO crowded down there... Looks like I'll just be going for oh lets see 200 lbs of aspen bedding or so. :)

Wow thats a lot of aspen bedding ....lol
Im gonna go to the show anyway to see whats it about.
What would you say is the best month to go to a show? I know they have two comming up one in April and another on July 20.
Brian

Both expos on July 20th & Sept 7th should be the better of the years shows as far as colubrids go. Vincent Russo & Vinny Ritchie (among others) usually both have some interesting cornsnakes for sale then.
