Mice! They taste so nice!
My first herping this year and I'm so overexcited by my find! I've found a great place owned by a new horsey-related friend. He's the owner of the andalucian stallions and various other horses, and my favorite pony will be going to stay with him to meet one of his studs and hopefully be put in foal, so I'll be visiting this place a lot! He's got adders and grass snakes on his land, but today I found a basking spot for common lizards. These were the best pictures I could get, because what you can't see is that I was having my hair rearranged by one of his mares while I was trying to get good shots. She was so friendly she was chewing the end of my ponytail gently, but it didn't help my photography at all!

Not a herp, but I'd rather not have found these horrors under my tubs when I was replanting today. a whole GANG of these ran at me, they were all over 3 inches long, but I didn't get close enough to see just how big the pinchy beasts were
