Had Mr. Pickle Bunny out to help me procrastinate on getting my work done tonight...and couldn't resist his cuteness. I was comparing pics from tonight to pics of him the day he came home from the pound...there's really a difference in color. He's developing a lovely yellow....almost green hue.

This is him the day he was rescued:

And look at him now!!!:

And he's only been in my care all of 3 1/2 months!

*swoons*

Yeah...well he's a big fan of food, apparently! Hehehehe. He's definatly becoming a scaley little sausage. He's lost that "spine-ridge" he had going on.

He's beautiful! How old is he, and how often does he eat? My BP has a "ridge" much like the one you described... I'm feeding him up, but I'm curious to know roughly how long it took for your snake to lose it.

I really don't know how old he is. I know I've had him around 3 1/2 months. When I got him, he was 187grams, and as of a couple weeks ago he was 260. I got him from the pound...he was a stray snake someone found on the street of all places!...so I don't know exactly how old he is, other than he's somewhat young.

I was feeding him every 6 days the first month to fatten him up...the pound was feeding him pinkies and he can easily take adult mice. Now he's on every 7-8 days...and he's NEVER refused a meal. He's quite enthusiastic.

He does look good. Poor baby, glad you rescued him. I just hate seeing anything go hungry. His colors are getting bright too. Good job! :)
