het ?'s

tsuki

snake charmer
i bred my snow female to a salmon snow male. the female is a true snow and the male was given to me. if he has hidden hets and he bred with my female will some of the babies show his het traits? or would both parents have to have the het, and the babies will just carry over the het with less percentage?

i hope this makes sense as it is very confusing to me with the % of het and positive and possible het, etc... and all the lingo that comes with the territory.

thanks for responses

What he said, only there is always a chance he has unknown hets that might match with some she has :) Morphs showing up in lines that have only had certain morphs used are called throwbacks. At least its what it is called when a line of black to black for 12 generations (gerbils) suddenly throws any other color. :shrugs: Not sure I have heard of it with snakes yet but who knows it might happen one day.

it appears as though untill the eggs are laid, and incubated i wont know... and i could or could not be in for some suprise babies.

(SIGH)

thanks for the responses. this is going to kill me waiting on these things to hatch.

Hehe, Yah what they have said, and the Corn Calculator is VERY fun to play with.... Because of it i now know what will be fitting in with my 2011 & 2012 breeding plans ;D

that calculator is pretty freakin sweet. i just realized that Tsuki is possibly a snow motley... she looks nearly identacle to that snake in the pic.

Maybe she is :shrugs: I once thought my Lily was a Motley turned out she is not... Oh well Butters is het for Motley coming from a het Motley Butter and a Motley Butter =]
