Just thought i'd introduce myself. My name is Sam and i'm 24 years old. By day i work in a vineyard, but my real obsession is with corns. I've currently got 8 of them... 5 hatchlings, 2 yearlings, and an adult. Can't wait to see what i can learn from everyone here. I'll post some pictures of my corns here soon (have to resize the photos).

Here are the hatchlings. Not sure why the pictures uploaded sideways.

Nice variety! Pretty snakes :)

I'm new to snakes but I'm so in love with them already and I've learned so much here!

I LOVE the stripes, they are very pretty! One of the first corn snakes I held was an anery stripe. I think I just might have to get one in the future!

Thanks everybody. I was wondering if maybe you all could help me nail down the morphs i've got. For the hatchlings (in order of the pictures) i believe them to be amel, snow, motley butter, NO IDEA, and normal stripe (maybe vanishing stripe?). And for the yearlings i was told that the first guy was a lava, second was a ghost stripe, and the adult was a Miami locality corn. Any opinions in agreement or to the contrary? Especially any idea on that fourth hatchling i've got... i picked her up last weekend at repticon in Baltimore but she was just labeled as a "fancy corn". I've tried to figure her out but i'm not having much luck. I can get better pictures if need be. Thanks!

Great snakes, cant help you with the morphs cos im new and they are confusing lol, welcome to the site, the people here are great and they will be able to help you.

Welcome! I would agree with all of the morphs but what color are the eyes on the third one. The color looks kind of dark. I don't if it is an butter in poor light or maybe a golddust. :shrugs: And can you get more pictures of #4. I could throw some maybe's out there but without better pictures I can't even give you an idea of what I think.

Oh I love the sweet looking eyes on your snow.

Thanks Christen. The eyes on the third hatchling are light with a red pupil. Also, here are a few more pictures of the fourth little one. Do they help out at all with ID?

Oh yeah definitely butter. And the other one I am thinking might be a lavender. The eyes look dark. Do they look anything like this kid? Maybe someone else will come by to confirm or deny this but I would watch this one for the first year. I think it is going to be doing a big color change on you. Take lots of pictures.

Thanks for all the help Christen. My as of yet unidentified hatchling looks pretty similar to those pictures but she seems to be more of a peach color. I might move these pictures to the "Morph" category on here since it seems to get more traffic but i'm glad to hear that i'm not completely off base with my other morphs. Corn snakes seem to be sold incorrectly more often than any other animal i've seen. I bought my ghost striped when it was labeled in the pet store as a "hypo stripe" even though i knew that's not what it was. And then there's the dreaded "fancy corn" label that people tend to slap on any corn they're not sure about. Makes it hard to tell what any of them really are. Thanks again though!
