Getting back into corn snakes. Several years ago I had seven corns and I sold them because I moved around a bit. Was at a Petco and saw a gorgeous little bloodred and couldn't pass it up. I was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable breeders in Minnesota. If it was in the Twin Cities it'd be even better. Would love to start getting my hands on some morphs with caramel and motley.

Hi! Ex-Minnesotan here.

Donny Groninger, dng123, is up there in St. Paul. He's got lots of different bloodred morphs, as well as other things.

But really- it's super-simple to ship snakes anywhere. You can pick anything you like out of the classifieds here and have it shipped up to you. They go FedEx overnight and the cost ranges from $40-65, usually, depending on how far the snake has to go and what kind of rates the shipper gets from FedEx.

Check out Twin Cities Reptiles. I got a red milk from Bruce, the owner, last year. The transaction was over the phone and internet. They did a good job shipping. I think they breed and raise a lot of their animals on site. Maybe someone who has been to the shop can give you some more input.

What Nanci said. There are some great breeders here with wonderful snakes. I've never had a problem with shipping and usually 4 hatchlings will ship for the same price as one, which brings the cost per snake down to very reasonable.

I also agree. There are some great breeders here. The cost for shipping is less than what I would spend in gas trying to drive to a show or pet shop, plus I can find exactly what I want and know that the snake is healthy and its genetics. Be sure and check out the BOI if you aren't already familiar with it, that way you can buy with confidence.

(PS: Nanci has awesome snakes!! ;))

Welcome! I'm from WI, just over the border. We've been to Twin Cities Reptiles twice - pretty nice place. There is an 2011 anery bloodred that I want each time I go!

Do you guys know if there are any corn snake expos around the Twin Cities area? Never been to one but I think it'd be a ton of fun.
