Not really. Just make sure that you have a thermostat (or rheostat, but not quite as good) and a digital thermometer with a probe (not the dial shape stick-on kind as they are notoriously innaccurate) to make sure that the temperature does not get too hot. My UTH, for example, will easily get the glass to 93 degrees without something to regulate it.
