Hi everyone -

My name is Ricardo -
I was given a snake just before christmas and have been reading like crazy trying to get as much info as possible.

I normally do lots and lots of research before getting any animals - but since this was given to me im learning as I go along.

From what I have gathered I have an amel blood red snake.
I keep it in a 20 gal vivarium with a heat pad on the one side and a florecent tube for lighting.
My substarte is the carpet it came with - and some moss on the one end where it seems to spend most its day hidden.lol

I need to get a better thermometer - only found out today that those things that stick on the glass are useless.

The snake is around 45cm in length ( i think thats about 17 or 18 inches for people who dont use the metric system.) and is fed one fuzzy a week.

I just wanna thank the people in charge of this site for keeping it going - It really helps in giving us the information needed to give our corns a longer healthier, and happier life, thanks guys:)
