does anybody know how to convince parents to get you a new snake?
thanx! :santa:
What are the reasons your parents won't let you have a snake?

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!!!

Well you are only 12 years old, but that was when I got my first snake! So good time to get into the hobby! I would buy a book or two on corns and show your parents you are doing loads of research. Then maybe ask if you can go to a petstore and look at them.

Just really show them you are interested in a cornsnake and that you can take care of one. Then maybe they will say yes.

Good luck!!!

I agree I would do the research on keeping them all it involves, beyond just having the snake. Can you maintain the proper environment, which among other things would include a secure viv (corn snakes are notorious escape artists). Are you prepared to have frozen mice in the freezer, or can you get feeder mice locally? What happens if the snake gets sick, can you pay for vet bills. These are just some of the situations you might find yourself in if your parents let you get a snake.

OK for starters what do you know? What kind of viv do you plan on getting? What morph of corn snake?
I think the biggest problems kids have when talking to thier parents is not being prepared, and once they have talked thier parents into the snake, feeders become a problem adn then are your parents willing to pay a vet bill if needed. Do you even have a herp vet close?
