My friends and I like to play with cameras and flashes triggered by sound or movement. The other day we set up a rig with a laser that would trigger a flash system when the laser was blocked. That is, when a drop of water passed by the laser it would trigger the flash system. We introduced a slight delay and got some really cool photos.
These were taken with my friend's Pentax. I have used my little Canon A550 for this before, but it's a real pain because the shutter is timed. I need a proper SLR.
For the colored shots we added gels (Little colored filters) over the flashes to get the effect. It turned out pretty great.
