Hello and thank you for visiting my thread. This is my first progression post for my snake Hobbes. I just started feeding him small fuzzies last night so I figured it'd be a good time. Here's a couple pictures of the tank and I'll try to snag a picture of him/her when he/she is done digesting. Thanks again!

Let me know what you guys think of my snake Hobbes. Oh and how soon can you start to tell their sex just by looking at them? Does anyone know off hand? He's going to be 2 years old in July, thanks!

He's cute! I don't know if you can tell their sex just by looking at them. I've heard of people doing it, but I can't tell a difference.

Take a picture of Hobbes' vent and tail and post it here. ;)

Thanks for the comments! Hobbes is really growing quick. Also thanks for the info I forgot about that book. I totaly have it too haha. I'll definitely get a picture of the vent after he/she is done shedding though.

Also raven what does DYK mean? Probably a noob question but hey we were all new at one point or another right? Thanks again!

That's a beautiful snake, I love the darker, "wild" looking patterns. Great name too, is he named for the English political theorist?

Yea, Thomas Hobbes, just cause I could. Also I thought it would be interesting to name him Hobbes when Thomas Hobbes said man is inherently evil. I thought it fitting to name my snake that since people usually view snakes as evil by nature.

Nice!!! I love that. I bet Hobbes is real sweet too, huh?

I was consitering naming one of my snakes Simone De Beauoir, but I thought that was kind of a mouthful. And then of course I'd have to buy another snake just to name is Sarte! Hrmm.. now that actually doesn't sound too bad... :grin01:

yea he/she is a pretty docile snake actually.

And you wouldn't have to just get another one to name it Sarte you'd have to get several for all the multiple partners they both had haha.

:grin01: Wow, you got the references and then some!!! Yay.

Right now I'm reading Alexandra Kollantai. All about winged and wingless eros.
