Home Alone?

I use electronic timers for all my lighting in both my vivs and fish tanks. It means a regular cycle for the corn and is much more confenient. I see no reason why they should be unsafe. Although the snake might not suffer but I know my snake drinks everyday and finding an old marg tub to put extra water in is easy and means the snake is not likely to run out of clean water.

Although what I am saying may not all be necessary they are the best methods to keep the snake healthiest.

My only concern about leaving a new timer alone would come from an experience I had a few months ago. We use all the same kind of timers at work, probably the same brand/model as most people here use...it's one of the analog ones where you pull the pins up to set the on/off time. Anyway, this one was fairly new, only a couple of months old. It kept crapping out on us because the dial kept sticking...one day it stuck and we didn't find out about it until we heard a smoke alarm go off, which is when we found it smoldering and half waymelted.
