So a family bought the creamsicle at my job yesterday, the seller set them up with a light.. I explained the down side with light, said it could work but most likely would lead to shedding issues. The father said that if he did have issues they'd switch to UTH. I recommended for them to join this site (they have a 12 year old son who's birthday is today). I told them that he can handle the snake a little when he comes home but then wait a week, handle a little, feed, then wait another two days and always wait 2 days after feeding.
I gave them the forum link so the kid can do more research and be in touch if they get stuck with anything. This is a well started young snake, over 50 grams, eating like a horse so I feel it is a good snake for him to start with as well. If would have been one of the small small ones we sometimes get in (I don't think of them have had their first meal sometimes), I would have been more worried.
so we will see if he joins us, i hope he does!!
