horrible shed

I'm Me, Deal With It
My snow corn nevada just shed, but I only found about three fragments that add up to about 8 inches worth of shed. he is a 30 long snake!! I can see pieces of the shed on him on some scales where it is "peeling up" and I was wondering what the best way to help him shed the rest would be?? please help :shrugs:

Put a humid hide in his enclosure and give him a few days to see if he can get it off himself.

slightly warm rag held in your hands while you allow the snake to "walk-through" it with a gentle squeeze. do it a few times going from light pressure to a tad bit more each time. don't restrict it from moving though, just enough to feel like you have slowed him down a bit.
good luck.

I've had good results with a moist hide....just get a tub your snake can fit into, cut or melt a hole in the side(make sure the edges are smooth) and put some damp spaghnum moss in there. I've also heard damp paper towels work but never tried it myself.

The snake will normally find the humid hide itself pretty quick and should get all the remaining shed off within a couple of days,

Good luck!
