how and where to sell babys

Depends upon your state or even county/city. South Carolina and even California did not require permits to sell harmless reptiles. I did declare on taxes though...

@meg it wasn't a accident or anything we bred with the intent of selling locally, now the eggs not being laid in the wet box was our in experience I change water. On Wednesday and Sunday I found em Sunday night so they could have been under the shavings for 4 days. They are now in the latter of your choices vermiculite with moist moss in a corner for added moisture in the box. The concern about craigslist came when I put out feelers about the eggs and seeing if anyone was interested in being contacted when they hatch I did get a couple of good people but got 3 that all basically read your pet is exactly what ive been looking for its adorable I will arrange for you to ship it to me after I transfer funds to you blah blah blah... so that kinda gave us a scam scare but I think it will turn out good as long as w save the eggs we are trying hard

Is the vermiculite damp? If not, the moss won't be enough. The vermiculite should clump together when it's the right moisture. The only thing I don't like about it is that if it's too wet it will cling to eggs and drown them. Perlite can't do that. Any moisture not absorbed goes to the bottom of the egg box and serves as extra moisture. As long as the eggs are not sitting directly in the water they do fine. The perlite granules are also larger so they don't cling to the eggs and allow air flow.

It was wet but not dripping clumping but not releasing moisture when squeezed, I went into the egg thread for a lot of help with the eggs and I hope we are able to bring them back and hatch healthy babies. Going to add the damp cloth tonight hope that helps.

Damp towell wrung out laid loosely over eggs, right ?

Sounds good as far as the vermiculite. I don't put a cloth in there.. I do lay a layer of slightly and I mean slightly damp moss over the tops of any exposed eggs to catch any excess moisture that might drip from the lid. Humidity in the box should create a fog on the side but not water droplets on the lid. If you are getting that, it's too much. You need humidity not moisture. I just put a pinhole or two in the side of the egg box, put it in a warm spot that stays around 80 and leave it.....I might periodically check the eggs to see if they are not getting too wet or dry but that's it. They don't need too much air and they generally will keep the humidity throughout incubation if there's not too many holes in the egg box.

The moss I bought was zoomed and it specifically said no dyes but it left a couple of distinct bright green blotches on the eggs is this ok, I'm afraid we are loosing the worst of the 17 it was sunken in on 2 sides and no is showing a almost purple spot on the side could this just be the development of the baby to close to the wall or is the more likely explanation its going bad?

Meg I'm starting a new thread in egg production and breeding I realize I've gotten us way off topic its been very helpful but I don't want anyone getting mad at me hope you are able to make the jump to the new thread to help with and keep up on our progress

I don't think anyone will get mad at you for taking your own thread off topic, but you probably will get better replies if it is in the right area.
