How bout' them Tigers

I don't know if any of you watched the game, but it was exciting. Magglio Ordonez hit two home runs, including the game-winner. Now they get a nice rest while the Cardinals and Mets battle it out for the NLCS.

:Hopes the Cardinals can pull it out:

That's pretty cool for the Tigers (considering how terrible they've been).

The Tigers have been playing great playoff games, including the Yankees series. With "my team" having played in the Central Division of both leagues over the past decade (my last "away" Brewers game when they were in the A.L. was at Tiger Stadium in '96), I'm pulling for a Tigers/Cardinals World Series. Then maybe we can drag out Bob Gibson and Denny McLain to throw out the "first pitches". ;)

Let's go Cards!!

regards,
jazz

I didn't think I'd ever get to see them in the series in my lifetime. :eek1: :grin01:

Hope for the Lions? :sidestep:

Go Tigers!!

A's fan here :sobstory:  :crying: :(
Gonna root for the Tigers to go all the way now though, don't ask me to explain the logic

I'd like to see a Tigers/Mets series. I was born in Queens and lived there until I was 16 and was a true Mets fan. That said, it wouldn't bother me none to see the Tigers pull it off either. They've had a great year and nobody expected it. It's like watching the 1969 Miracle Mets. So for me as a baseball fan, this year is a win-win situation.

But then again, any year the Yankees aren't in the Fall Classic is a win-win in my book.

Hear them roar

They are playing great ! :sidestep: Leyland led the Pirates to their last world series. Hopefully he can do it with Detriot as well! Good luck!
