Er, you really shouldn't be able to get a plain amel hatchling from breeding two snows. All hatchlings should be snows in this case. There is always the possibility, however slim, that the female retained some sperm from an earlier breeding with a non-snow male. Snakes can retain sperm for quite a long time in some cases, and it looks like that must be what happened here. Either that, or the neighbor lied. Breeding a snow with an amel het for snow could produce the hatchlings pictured.
