How do double pinkies FIT into the snake?

The title is a bit vague for what I want to know. I was wondering how the lump looks when you feed double pinkies. Does the snake have a longer lump, or a fatter lump, or a combo of both? I made an illustration to help ask my question.

Single File is one pinky at a time, in the order they were swallowed. Slimmest, longest lump.
Double file is both pinkies beside each other. Shortest fattest lump.
Overlap is where the pinkies sorta overlap a little, and this is likely what happens. It's a cross between the other two options.

Do both mice get digested simultaneously? Does the first mouse in finish digesting before the second? Is this time difference negligible? Also, wasn't sure if this fits better in the Misc. forum or the husbandry forum, so I put it in the misc.

LMAO at the diagram... hahaha.

Single file has been my experience. In fact... let me see.... Yep, here it is:

That's a double pinky lump. You can see how it's longer as opposed to a giant fat lump.

I would guess it depends on the size of the snake and the size of the pinkie/mouse.

two pinkies in a hatchling I would think single file, two pinkies in an adult would probably be stacked, overlapping in a sub adult ect...

Nice diagram

i so bad want to get an anery!!

and the pinkies are single file when Sonja eats 2

Wow, pretty Anery - I'm hoping they have some little anery's at the show I'm going to so I can get one! :D

I would think single file - as they eat them, unless the snake is being fed very undersized prey, in which case they might end up 'stacked' in the digestive tract since it can accommodate a larger volume. But I think if its appropriately sized, single file is most likely.

Nice diagram, a good way to show begininers also. Alex eats two pinkies and they are single file on her and judging from her size I would put her at 6-8 months old, though I could be wrong since the store was under feeding her for her weight.

Jesserca, I thiknthe foot long would stack ;)

I would assume it is somewhere around single file to somewhat overlapped, both being digested simultaneously.

In my experience, it normally looks like it sits single file.

:-offtopic Emily, I love the anery in that photo.. The head design looks like a flame. Very pretty!

From my experience it is single file and digested first in first out. I know this because my smallest male, Kratos, eats 2 pinkies or if undersized pinkies then 2.5 or 3 and one time I accidentally cooked one pinkie.

Three different feeds he has eaten 3 miniature pinkies, weighing under .5 gms each. The last time that he ate that meal, I accidentally cooked one of the pinkies but did not pay enough attention and did not realize it was actually partially cooked until he had it half way eaten. The first two pinkies in were digested and pooped out in less than 48 hours, the third(partially cooked one) stayed in his stomach and rotted until he regurged it on day 5.
