How do I keep a cool side and a warm side?

The warm side shoulde be heated by a UTH (Under Tank Heater) which usually gets pasted to the bottom of the vivarium on one side of the tank..Make sure the UTH is being controlled through a rheostat or thermostat so that temps to get to high (as an uncontrolled UTH could reach over 100 degrees..:eek1::eek1:)..So make sure it's being controlled...Also have a thermometer with a probe on both the cool and the warm side..on the warm side make sure the probe is right over glass where the UTH is and under the substrate so that it shows the temp for where the snake can dig to..this way you know what the warmest area is and that it's not to hot...the cool side you can just let your room do the cooling and heating..if you have an unusually hot room..you might want to turn down the heat or turn up the air conditioner..if you have a slightly cold room...vise versa..either way..the warm side should always be anywhere from 80 to 85 degrees and the cool side should be in the low to mid 70's....

Also if you get the chance...check out the F&A section and read the info posted there as it answers many questions for new owners which helps the forum save space since the same questions aren't always being asked:spinner:...best of luck to ya:crazy02:

In Mexico City, I suspect it's more a problem of getting temps low enough & maintaining a temp gradient. Not a problem we have here in the UK, but hopefully someone from warmer areas can advise.

What is the current temperature in the room where you keep your Corns (or plan to keep them)?

I don't know the exact temp but in Mexico City the average temperature is 69°F give or take, in the mornings is pretty cold like 44°F So I could easily maintain a temp gradient (I think)
