How do you clean your viv(s)?

Anyone? Words of advice on disinfecting/cleaning logs?

wash with a very good disenfectant, leave it to soak in hot water ... then bake it in the oven for about 1hr at a high heat to kill anything that might still be living ie. parrasites ... o and make sure you let it cool befor you let your snake play with it lol

Just to clarify, I have already originally soaked the logs/hides in bleach for 24hrs, and baked for over an hour. I am curious on maintenance of the logs.

I generally use a detergent and hot water mixture for the hides which are cork. And then make sure its thoroughly washed off and air dry. It's sometimes good to have more than 1 set of very similar hides so you can put your snake away with hides asap (especially if it's small + scared) whilst you're still drying the ones you've just washed maybe, especially if you're using ones brought in from outside. It's really worried me now with that story about ants, I HATE ants!!!

That's why I bleach AND cook, ants aren't surviving in 300 degrees for 30 minutes...
Thanks for the replies.
