How long can corns and a leopard gecko go without heat?

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I didn't know if it should go here or under husbandry since I include a leopard gecko. I know some of you have leos, and I have a question. My power just got shut off, and won't be back on until tomorrow at noon, maybe longer. We have no heat, yay. How low can the temperature get and still be ok for the corns? Also, how long can a leopard gecko go without heat? Is there a way I can heat their 3 tanks for a day or 2 without electricity? I don't know how low the the going to drop, and it is only 50 degrees outside. I'm really worried.
 
You can get those feet and hand warmers in the camping section at wal-mart... They last up to 18 hours, some of them at least. Thats what we used when we lost power one night in the middle of winter. I had just fed them all too. It worked. They can get really hot, we put them under the tanks.
 
my dad was just talking about the extension cord idea. we might do that. I also thought about those hand warmers.
 
Thermacare back patches might work too but they wouldn't last long. The extension cord would be the best though. ;)
 
The extension cord won't reach from my neighnors house, he is way up on a hil. I found some pocket warmers in the basement... they get a minimum of 104 degrees, a avg of 135 and a max of 166. I don't know if I want to risk that. Will they heat all the way through the glass? Or should I stick them on the walls?
 
Sadly no. My neighbors are terrified of him, my good friends are all still out of town from spring break, and the rest of the family lives too far away to drive out right now. I hope they will do fine with the heat packs :/
 
The neighbors are afraid of the snakes and gecko, but they were happy to loan us their generator for a good cause! Phew! I am going to have to convince my parents to get one of our own. Thanks for all your guys help.
 
instead of going with the
"get the generator for my geckos"
you might instead try
"get the generator so we don't have a mess of spoiled rotten food in the fridge" route
you never know what nature is going to toss at you
or "Mom likes cold showers in the middle of winter after an ice storm, we don't need a generator"
 
Haha good point. My dad has been thinking of getting one for a while. I don't think it will be hard to convince him.
