How long can eggs stay in nest box?

I have a female that is on day 7 of her pre-egg laying shed and I have to go away on Friday morning and be away until Sunday evening. I'm using sphagnum moss I'm wondering if I turn off the heat pad if the eggs will be ok for the weekend?
Any help would be great,
Trevor

I have exactly the same problem - my anery just shed last night and we are going away Friday to Sunday next week. I don't see how the eggs could come to much harm provided the sphagnum is moist and the temp in the cage somewhere between 70 and 85, but it would be nice to hear from the experts on this.

Has your snake laid yet?

David

I removed my eggs the day after they were laid.
It is probable yours will be fine if humidity and temps are ok.
The only concern of course is that the female will disturb them too much particularly if your away for a week or more.
Still I don`t know what you can do about that, other than to get someone to call in and check on, or remove them.

I stayed home and waited for them. I think they would have been fine because my temps and humidity were fine. Oh well next time I'll go.
Cheers,
Trevor

Trev,

Well it was only for a weekend~
so I would say that its fine for them to be in the nest box for just 2 days...heck I only check my adult females every 3-7 days...LOL...and the eggs are still alright. I don't want to be disturbing them too much cause I don't want to be disturbing them when they're laying their eggs. So I don't take the risk at all. Even when I do check if the female is laying..I only do it for a very short period....maybe...1 min...if that....

See take my advice next time....go out and have fun~ LOL

Mine are hatching in the laying box. After the female laid the eggs, I took her out and changed the lid so she couldn't get back in. The box is still in her tank, and so far 16 of the 20 eggs have hatched.
